Concrete Cost Calculator

Get an indicative supply cost for your concrete volume, including GST.

Estimating Concrete Cost

Once you know your concrete volume — from our Concrete Volume Calculator or any of our slab and footing calculators — this tool applies an indicative supply rate of $385 per cubic metre (ex GST) to give you a dollar estimate. This rate reflects a standard concrete supply cost for residential projects and is the same reference figure used elsewhere across our retaining wall and slab calculators.

If your pour needs a concrete pump, you can include a standard $1,000 allowance in the total. GST is then calculated at 10 per cent and added to give you a final total, matching how a real supplier invoice is typically structured.

What Information You Need To Enter

Enter your concrete volume in cubic metres, and choose whether to include a concrete pump allowance in the total.

Understanding Your Results

You will see the concrete supply cost, the pump allowance if selected, a subtotal, GST at 10 per cent, and a total inclusive of GST. This is an indicative rate only — actual pricing depends on mix design, strength grade, additives such as fibre or accelerant, and delivery distance from the batching plant.

Why Accurate Estimating Matters

Having a realistic dollar figure for concrete supply helps you budget a project before committing to a specific mix design or supplier, and lets you sense-check quotes you receive against a genuine reference rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the indicative rate include?

The $385 per cubic metre rate is a standard reference for concrete supply only. It does not include placement labour, pump hire beyond the optional allowance, or specialised additives -- these are quoted separately based on your project.

Why does concrete pricing vary between suppliers?

Mix design, strength grade (measured in MPa), additives like fibre reinforcement or accelerants, and delivery distance from the batching plant all affect the final price per cubic metre.

Is GST included in the rate?

The $385 rate is ex GST, consistent with standard trade pricing. GST at 10 per cent is calculated separately and added to your subtotal in the results.

Should I include the pump allowance?

Include it if your pour needs a concrete pump to reach the placement area. For a more detailed pump estimate based on your specific volume, use our Concrete Pump Calculator.

Can I get an exact concrete price for my project?

Yes. Request a free quote and we will confirm exact mix requirements, volume and pricing after reviewing your project.
