2. Terms & Conditions
2.1 General
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by HPL Construction Pty Ltd (“HPL Construction”), including excavation, site cut, base prep, bore piers, screw piles, job prep, and job pour. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
2.2 Deposit & Payment Terms
1. A $500 deposit is required to secure the job.
2. The remaining balance must be paid within seven (7) days after job completion.
3. Any changes to payment terms must be agreed upon before securing the contract.
2.3 Late Payment & Legal Recourse
4. Interest on late payments may be charged in accordance with the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 (Victoria).
5. All costs incurred in recovering overdue payments are the client’s responsibility.
6. If payment is not made within 30 days, legal proceedings may commence.
2.4 Variations & Additional Work
7. Any variation or additional work not included in the original quote will be charged separately.
2.5 Validity of Quotes
8. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issuance.
2.6 Retained Ownership
9. Ownership of materials or equipment remains with HPL Construction until full payment is received.
2.7 Additional Costs
10. Extra work (e.g., tree root removal, rock removal, concrete cutting) will incur additional costs.
2.8 Plumbing Requirements
11. Plumbing issues must be resolved before the concrete pour day.
12. Drain camera inspections must be completed before the pour and during steelwork.
13. HPL Construction is not responsible for plumbing issues if a drain camera inspection is not conducted.
2.9 Delays Due to Builder Issues
14. If delays are caused by the builder (e.g., missing materials), additional costs will be charged to the builder.
2.10 Concrete Pump
15. HPL Construction can help organize a concrete pump but is not liable for pump breakdowns.
2.11 Concrete Pouring during weather conditions
16. If a builder authorizes a concrete pour in extreme weather conditions like rain or elevated summers, HPL Construction is not responsible for slab issues.
2.12 Site Access & Security
17. The customer must ensure site accessibility and security. Any delays caused by restricted access will be at the customer’s expense.
2.13 Change Orders
18. Changes to the scope of work must be requested in written via email and approved by both parties.
2.14 Limitation of Liability
19. HPL Construction is not responsible for damages caused by:
• Weather conditions
• Animals or children
• Vehicles or other external factors
