Where a site’s history suggests genuine hazard risk (older buildings previously on site, known industrial history), a specific hazard assessment separate from your standard soil report may be warranted.

If you have any reason to suspect this kind of risk on your specific site, raising it directly with your geotechnical provider or seeking a dedicated hazard assessment is worth doing rather than assuming standard testing covers it.
