Plain & Coloured Concrete

Does coloured concrete need to be resealed more often than plain?

Broadly the same schedule applies to both, but colour retention gives coloured concrete a genuinely more visible reason to stay on top of it — UV exposure fades pigment gradually, and a fresh sealer coat helps slow that fading, where a lapsed reseal on plain concrete is mostly a durability concern rather than a visible colour change.

In practice, many owners choose to reseal coloured concrete a little more proactively for exactly this reason, even though the underlying protective need is genuinely similar.
