The concrete pour is the part of a slab project people picture, but by the time trucks arrive, the majority of what determines how the slab performs over the following decades has already been decided — the excavation levels, the base compaction, and the reinforcement placement. A well-poured slab on poorly prepared ground is still a poorly prepared slab; the pour itself can’t fix upstream shortcuts.
Stage One: Excavation

Stage Two: Services Rough-In
